Delete rules your linter already enforces

Every line in AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, Cursor rules and skills is loaded on every turn. Lines like “use 2-space indent”, “no unused imports” or “always use semicolons” are already enforced by your formatter, linter or tsconfig. The agent finds out on its first run, so you pay tokens each turn for nothing.

Quick fix: for each rule ask “would a failing check catch this?” If yes, delete the line and keep one instruction instead: “run npm run lint and fix what it reports.” Keep only what tools cannot see, like architecture choices and gotchas.

Weigh your instruction files before and after → Clogmeter runs entirely locally and can export a trimmed copy. Nothing is uploaded.
